This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application No.2024/0103/35/364805 dated 1.4.2024 and Application No.2024/0105/35/477423 dated 01.04.2024 with regard to the issuance of transfer of Patta in respect of the petitioner's property in Survey No.256/1 to an extent of 1.97 acre and survey No.255/2 to an extent of 94 cents in Patta No.82, situated at No.62 Paathiri village, Mathuranthagam Taluk, Chengalpattu District based on the petitioner's representation dated 8.5.2024.
2. The petitioner submitted applications on 01.04.2024 with a request for issuance of patta, however, the same is pending without consideration till date. Hence, this writ petition.
3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
4. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the 2/4
respondents are directed to consider the applications of the petitioner dated 01.04.2024 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the neighbouring land owners and any other interested persons. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
