This criminal original petition has been filed to transfer the investigation of the case in Crime No.7 of 2016 pending on the file of the 5th respondent police, the Inspector of Police, CBCID Police Station, Puducherry to the 7th respondent police, the Director, Central Bureau of Investigation, Shastri Bhavan, Nungambakkam, Chennai or any other agency.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) appearing for the respondents.
3. On a reading of the FIR, this Court finds that this is not a fit case to transfer the investigation from the file of the 5th respondent, the Inspector of Police, CBCID Police Station, Puducherry.
4. However, in the interest of justice, the 4th respondent, the Superintendent of Police, CBCID Police Station, Iyyanar Nagar, Puducherry, is directed to monitor the investigation in Crime No.7 of 2016 that is being conducted by the 5th respondent police.
