Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to renew the notary license bearing No.17843 of 2019 for the period of 5 years from 19.12.2024 to the petitioner on the basis of representation letters dated 25.07.2024 and 02.01.2025 sent to the respondent No.3 and to pass suitable orders.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to renew the notary license bearing No.17843 of 2019 for the period of 5 years from 19.12.2024 to the petitioner on the basis of representation letters dated 25.07.2024 and 02.01.2025 sent to the third respondent.

2. Heard Mr.Ravichandran, learned counsel appearing for Mr.M.Saravanakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Dr.K.Kannan, learned Senior Panel Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

3. The petitioner was appointed as Notary Public by the third respondent on 20.12.2019. Before expiry of the period, he submitted an application for renewal on 25.07.2024. The said application was returned for compliance. The petitioner after complying the returns re-submitted the application on 02.01.2025.

4. Dr.K.Kannan, learned Senior Panel Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 states that the said application will be processed in accordance with law and an order will be passed within a period of four weeks from today.

5. The said statement is recorded. The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
