Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 29.10.2020 in D.O.No.118/2020-C2 against the petitioner father Vijayaraj, Male, aged 61 years, S/o.Elumalai, who is confined in Central Prison, Vellore and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M. DURAISWAMY, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in D.O.No.118/2020-C2, dated 29.10.2020, detaining his father as "Sand Offender" under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Government Advocate reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.199, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 11.01.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
