Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, to writ directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioners dated 24.04.2025 and to get lease of the fishing rights in the Padethalav Periya Eri (Lake) under the control of the 1st respondent in favour of the 3rd respondent society for a period of 5 years from 2025-26 to 2029-30 by applying G.O.M.S.No.332, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries (FS.IV) Department dated 17.11.1993 and the orders passed in batch of writ petitions in W.P.NO.6819 of 2023 etc., dated 21.06.2023.

The petitioners seek for the following relief: directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioners dated 24.04.2025 and to get lease of the fishing rights in the Padethalav Periya Eri (Lake) under the control of the 1st respondent in favour of the 3rd respondent society for a period of 5 years from 2025-26 to 2029-30 by applying G.O.M.S.No.332, Animal Husbandry and

Fisheries (FS.IV) Department dated 17.11.1993 and the orders passed in batch of writ petitions in W.P.NO.6819 of 2023 etc., dated 21.06.2023.

2. Without going into the merits of the case, the 1st and 2nd respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 24.04.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
