Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to grant notional promotion to the petitioner as Stores Supervisor as per the panel drawn on 17.01.1997 and consequently direct the respondents to fix the pay, other attendant benefits and accordingly fix the terminal benefits of the petitioner.

Today, when the matter was taken up, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has died. Hence, the learned counsel sought liberty to the legal heirs of the deceased petitioner to approach the respondents for appropriate relief.

2.In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, liberty is granted and this writ petition stands closed. No costs.
