Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion as Regional Manager and promote him as Regional Manager for the year 2009 and grant him all consequential service and monetary benefits at par with his juniors. O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion as Regional Manager and accordingly promote him on par with his juniors in the order of seniority.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner contended that on account of certain allegations, the writ petitioner was placed under suspension and thereafter a criminal case was also registered. All such criminal cases ended with an order of acquittal and thereafter the writ petitioner submitted a representation on 23.12.2014 to grant retrospective promotion on par with his juniors and the same was not considered by the respondents. Thus, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 23.12.2014 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly writ petition stands disposed of. However no order as to costs. jer 03.08.2017
