2. The petitioner's husband is undergoing life sentence in Central Prison, Salem. The petitioner has to undergo plate removal surgery in her shoulder and her daughter's puberty function is also proposed to be held.

3. We are satisfied that these are good grounds for granting emergency leave for the prisoner. Hence, we direct the 2nd respondent to grant six days emergency leave for the prisoner without escort. The prisoner shall be released from the prison at 10.00 a.m. on 23.05.2025 and he shall return to the prison at 05.00 p.m. on 30.05.2025. During the leave period, he shall sign before the Inspector of Police, Erode Town P.S., at 05.00 p.m. daily. This writ petition stands allowed on the aforesaid terms. No costs. (G.R.S.,J.)
