Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners to participate in the process of selection for appointment to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police (Taluk Police) by direct recruitment announced by the 2nd respondent in his Advt. No.1/ 2015 dated 8.2.2015 by allowing the in-service candidates like the petitioners serving in the Prison Department in the light of the representation made by the petitioners dated 20.2.2015 within a reasonable time.
