ORDER
Heard Ms.N.R.Jasmine Padma, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader accepting notice for the respondent and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition to direct the respondent to consider the application dated 02.03.2015 for grant of patta.
3.The petitioner would state that pursuant to the settlement arrived at Lok Adalat, sale deed was executed in favour of the petitioner vide Document No.1682 of 2015. On the strength of the said document, the petitioner has approached the authorities for grant of patta. From the copy of the application for grant of patta, it is seen that the same has been forwarded to the Revenue Inspector for enquiry and report on the date when the application was furnished and the matter is now being processed. The petitioner could have waited for some more time to enable the officials to act on the petitioner's application, since already action has been initiated and report of the Revenue Inspector has been called for. However, the petitioner has rushed to this court within hardly twenty days from the date on which he has filed the application. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the application for grant of patta and process the same and pass necessary orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
