O R D E R

The respondents initiated disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner. The disciplinary authority imposed the punishment of stoppage of increment for a period of one year without cumulative effect. The said order was challenged before the Appellate Authority. The Appellate Authority enhanced the punishment. The petitioner, thereafter, filed a mercy application before the first respondent on 20.11.2014. The present request is to direct the first respondent to consider the said mercy application on merits.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submitted that the mercy application would be disposed of by the first respondent within a period of two months. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the mercy application submitted by the petitioner, dated 20.11.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
