O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition praying for a direction upon the third respondent to issue Family card to the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is working as a driver in Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation. It is stated that after the petitioner shifted to his own house bearing Door No.7-A, 7th Street, Senguthar Nagar, Chinna Salem Taluk, his ration card bearing No.07/W/0004760 was cancelled by the authorities. Hence, the petitioner has approached the authorities for the issuance of a new ration card. The petitioner has also sent a representation on 23.02.2015.

3. It is seen that the petitioner's application has been forwarded to the third respondent by the District Supply Officer, Villupuram District. Now the matter is pending consideration of the third respondent. The petitioner, without even giving reasonable time to the third respondent to consider the request, has immediately rushed to this Court and filed this writ petition.

4. In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2015 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
