O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the respondent to pay the petitioner a sum of Rs.26,717/- towards interest for the belated payment 1/4

of difference in Gratuity and difference in surrendered earned leave salary.

2. Mr. R.Venkatesa Perumal, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent. He would submit that the eligible amount will be paid to the petitioner within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this Court.

3. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondent to pay the petitioner a sum of Rs.26,717/- towards interest for the belated payment of difference in gratuity and difference in surrendered earned leave salary, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
