Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuing a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to grant patta to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's application for grant of patta dated 19.07.2014. O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to grant patta to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's application for grant of patta dated 19.07.2014.

2.Mr.A.Thiagarajan, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given her representation for grant of patta as early as on 19.07.2014, the 2nd respondent has not passed any order so far. 3.Ms.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 19.07.2014 and pass orders in accordance with law within a time frame.

4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 19.07.2014 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
