ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner seeking Gratuity, Employee Provident Fund and other dues.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner was appointed as Tractor Driver at Alandur Agro Engineering Co-operative Service Centre Ltd., on 07.07.1977 on consolidated salary. Thereafter, his service was regularised and he retired from service as Foreman/Manager on 31.08.2014. However, the petitioner was not settled his Gratuity, Employee Provident Fund and arrears of salary. Therefore, the petitioner repeatedly submitted representations. However, so far the petitioner was not paid the dues. Hence, this writ petition.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the arrears of Gratuity, Employee Provident Fund and arrears of salary will be settled in due course, since the respondents are in financial crisis.
5. In view of the above submission, the first respondent is directed to disburse the Gratuity, Employee Provident Fund and arrears of salary to the petitioner with applicable interest within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
