Prayer: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to direct the District and Sessions Court (PCR Court) Perambalur, to consider the petitioners' bail petition in Crime No.1020 of 2020 on the file of the respondent herein for the offences under Sections 294(b), 341 & 506(2) of I.P.C. r/w. Sections 3(1)(i), 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) & 3(1)(g) of the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been laid by the petitioners seeking direction to the District and Sessions Court (PCR Court) Perambalur, to accept the surrender of the petitioners in Crime No.1020 of 2020 on the file of the respondent and consider the bail petition on the same day itself.

2. According to the petitioners, they stand arrayed as accused in crime No.1020 of 2020, for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 341 & 506(2) of I.P.C. r/w. Sections 3(1)(i), 3 (1)(r), 3(1)(s) & 3(1)(g) of the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. According to the petitioners, they have not committed the offences put forth against them and on account of the false case alleged https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

against them, the petitioners are necessitated to seek for necessary directions.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice, I deem it fit to issue the following directions.

(i) The petitioners shall surrender before the District and Sessions Court (PCR Court) Perambalur, within 10 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

(ii) On the petitioners surrendering before the District and Sessions Court (PCR Court) Perambalur and filing the bail application, the District and Sessions Court (PCR Court) Perambalur, is directed to consider and dispose of the bail application as expeditiously as possible, preferably on the date of surrender in accordance with law.

4. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
