ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN,J.) The grievance of the petitioner is that the lands situated in Survey Nos.253, 254, 255, 256, 257, 258, 259 and 260 at Maniyandipalli Village, Kurbarahalli, Veppanapalli Panchayat, Krishnagiri District, were originally assigned to Sikkari caste people and the same were encroached by a group of persons. Questioning such encroachment, the petitioner has approached the respondents for an appropriate action.
2. On 20.5.2014, the petitioner's advocate had sought for the details in respect of the lands in Survey Nos.251, 252, 256, 257/1 of Kurubarahalli, Krishnagigiri, and a copy of the records under the R.T.I. Act. However, the Public Information Officer, Survey and Land Records Department, had transferred the matter to the Public Information Officer, Head Quarters Deputy Tahsildar, Krishnagiri, on 4.6.2014, as it was relating to the latter, with an instruction to furnish the details required by the petitioner. However, nothing has been furnished to the petitioner till date.
3. Under these circumstances, the petitioner has submitted a representation, dated 21.2.2015 to the respondents. As there is no response from the respondents, the petitioner has come forward with this Public Interest Litigation.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we are of the view that, without going into the merits of the case, it would be just and proper to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.02.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
