Petition filed under section 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents herein to consider the representation dated 29.01.2015 of the petitioner within the time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court and to not to construct public toilet in the road situated in S.F.No.113, Sarcarsamakulam Town, Coimbatore.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleaders appearing for the respondents.

2.According to the petitioner, not only he will be affected, but several others will be affected if public toilet is constructed in the road situated in S.F.No.113, Sarcarsamakulam Town, Coimbatore. 3.Now, the country needs more toilets and temple. At this juncture, here is a person who is objecting for construction of public toilet. The Authorities who have proposed to put up public toilet would have considered all the pros and cons before construction of public toilet.

4.Admittedly, the petitioner is not the owner of the land and therefore, the petitioner lacks locus standi to object to the construction of toilet which is in public interest. Hence, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted and this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
