Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the impugned order of the first respondent issued in G.O.(Ms) No.22, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (S) Department, dated 24.02.2014 by giving effect retrospectively from 1993 and quash the same only with regard to the effect of the order.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents furnished the copy of the Death Certificate showing that the writ petitioner has died. Consequent to the death of the writ petitioner, the benefits due to the employee was settled in favour of the legal heirs of the deceased.

2. This being the factum, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition. If any other grievance exists, the legal heirs of the deceased are at liberty to approach the Competent Authority for redressal.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
