PRAYER:

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to dispose of the representation dated 04.04.2014, requesting the 2nd respondent Canara Bank, Pallavaram Branch, allowing the petitioner to operate the Current Account bearing No.0910101034898.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner made a representation to the 2nd respondent Bank to allow the newly elected Office Bearers of the Association to operate the Bank Account in S.B.A/c.No.09101031898, however, till date no order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

2. The learned counsel for the 2nd respondent submitted that petitioner's representation is still pending and the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

3. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, without going into the merits of this case, this Court is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent Bank to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2014, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after affording opportunity to the petitioner and any other interested person as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
