The case of the petitioner is that he will retire from service on 31.01.2016 on attaining the age of superannuation. However, in the meanwhile, he has been transferred from Thiruppur to Namakkal. Hence, he made a representation dated 19.01.2015 to the respondent seeking posting in the Thiruppur, Coimbatore and Erode. Since no order has been passed by the respondent, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner.

2.Heard Mr.T.Sivagnanasambandan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent.

3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has challenged the order of transfer, it would suffice that if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.01.2015.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.01.2015 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 28.01.2016 and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs.
