Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to invoke the powers under Section 36 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 and hold an enquiry against 5th and 6th respondents in accordance with law.

This Writ Petition is filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to invoke the powers under Section 36 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 and hold an enquiry against respondents 5 & 6 in accordance with law. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned counsel appearing for the 5th respondent as well as the learned counsel appearing for the 6th respondent submitted that the present Writ Petition is filed to invoke powers under Section 36 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 and to hold enquiry against the respondents 5 & 6. In the year 2018, election was conducted and at the time of filing of the Writ Petition, one Shajahan was working as president, against whom the petitioner filed the present Writ Petition. Now the said Shajahan is not the president and one Parveena Begum was elected as president and she has taken charge on 11.08.2018 and she is continuing as president. In view of the same, nothing survives in the Writ Petition and the present Writ Petition has become infructuous.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the 6th respondent also submitted that the Deputy Registrar initiated proceedings and conducted enquiry against the 6th respondent, petitioner and others.

4.Recording the above said submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned counsel for 5th respondent and learned counsel appearing for for 6th respondent, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
