Criminal Revision Petition filed under Sections 397 r/w 401 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to call for the records relating to the judgment passed by the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Hosur in Crl.A.No.24 of 2018 dated 28.06.2019, dismissing the appeal and confirming the order of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Denkanikottai, dated 21.03.2018 in C.C.No.62 of 2016 and convicting this petitioner/appellant/accused No.1 for the offence under Section 294(b) and sentencing him to pay a fine of Rs.500/- in default to undergo simple imprisonment for the period of two weeks and also, convicting him under Section 324 of IPC r/w 4 of Tamil Nadu Women Harassment Act and sentencing him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for the period of 6 months. ORDER

This Criminal Revision Petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the judgment passed by the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Hosur in Crl.A.No.24 of 2018 dated 28.06.2019, dismissing the appeal and confirming the order of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Denkanikottai, dated 21.03.2018 in C.C.No.62 of 2016 and convicting this petitioner/appellant/accused No.1 for the offence under Section 294(b) and sentencing him to pay a fine of Rs.500/- in default to undergo simple imprisonment for the period of two weeks and also, convicting him under Section 324 of IPC r/w 4 of Tamil Nadu Women Harassment Act and sentencing him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for the period of 6 months.

2. Today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner was convicted by the trial Court on 21.03.2018. Thereafter, the petitioner had preferred an appeal before the learned Additional District Sessions Judge, Hosur on 28.06.2019 and the same was dismissed on 28.06.2019. Since the petitioner had not appeared before the trial Court, Non-Bailable warrant was issued by the trial Court and the same was executed on 09.07.2020. Thereafter, the petitioner was confined at Central Prison, Vellore. On completion of his sentence, the petitioner was released from the prison on 18.12.2020.

3. In view of the same, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition. Accordingly, the Criminal Revision Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
