ORDER

This Court, by order dated 17.04.2026, had granted an interim stay on the condition that the petitioner shall deposit 50% of the demand amount to the credit for the respondent within a period of four weeks. However, the petitioner could not comply with the said condition within the time stipulated by this Court. Hence, the present application for extension of time has been taken out.

2. It is submitted that the petitioner has so far paid only Rs.2,00,000/-, and a further balance amount of Rs.16,00,000/- is yet to be paid in terms of the order passed by this Court.

3. Notwithstanding the vehement opposition of the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, this Court is inclined to grant relief to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner is granted a further period of two months from today to comply with the aforementioned condition in full.

4. It is made clear that failure to comply with this conditional order within the extended period shall result in the automatic dismissal of the stay petition without further reference to this Court.

5. The writ miscellaneous petition is disposed of accordingly. 20-05-2026 ab/Jeni
