Civil Suit filed under Order IV Rule 1 of High Court O.S. Rules 1956 read with Order VII Rule 1 of CPC for the following reliefs : (a) i) To declare that the impugned Letter dated 27.08.2021 issued by the 2nd Defendant which dissolved the elected committees of Madras Diocese while forming a new Administrative Committee comprising of Defendants 3 - 17 to oversee the general management of the MAdras Diocese and any action taken by the Administrative committee in furtherance of the impugned Letter as illegal and void;

(b) To grant an order permanent injunction restraining the defendants 1 to 17 from interfering with the internal affairs and administration, including the conduct and business of the Madras Diocesan Council, he election disputes with respect to the various Committees of the Diocesan Council as well as ministerial stationing transfers, in any manner, contrary to the law and to the provisions of the Constitution of Church of South India of the Synod as well as the Constitution of Church of South India Madras Diocese;

(c) For the costs of the suit;

J U D G M E N T

The learned counsel for the plaintiffs sought permission of this court to withdraw the suit and also made an endorsement to that effect.
