The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to install the transformer at Anna Street, near Vinayagar Kovil, Pattikadu Village, Thirukkalukundram Taluk, Kanchipuram District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. Installation of transformers are made by the Electricity Board based on the supply assessment as well as the requirements in that locality. If in this regard, an assessment by the Board authorities are necessary, High Court cannot issue any direction for installation of transformer in a particular place.
3. No doubt, the consumers having grievance in the event of leakage, failure or otherwise, may submit the representation and in such circumstances, the Board authorities have to conduct inspection and take appropriate actions to rectify the power supply as required. Therefore, if any grievance exists as of now to the writ petitioner, he is at liberty to submit a representation to the authorities for rectification of power supply or otherwise. However, the relief sought for to install the transformer in a particular place cannot be granted.
4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
