This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission and also police protection for conducting temple festival on 17.05.2018 and 18.05.2018 at Arulmiku Mandagansa Karuppanasamy Temple, situated at Thalakkarai, Katayure Village, Kangayam Taluk, Tiruppur District.
2. Heard Mr.K.Sudhakar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.Kritika Kamal.P, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is the Secretary of the Arulmiku Mandagansa Karuppanasamy Temple, situated at Thalakkarai, Katayure Village, Kangayam Taluk, Tiruppur District. He has further submitted that the village people used to celebrate the aforesaid temple festival every year. Like wise, in this year also they have https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
decided to celebrate the aforesaid temple festival on 17.05.2018 and 18.05.2018.

He has further submitted that during the aforesaid temple festival, some cultural programs also will be conducted and hence the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondent police on 07.05.2018, seeking permission and also for police protection, but, so far no order has been passed and hence he requested to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on the other hand submitted that one Mr.Ponnusamy also gave a representation mentioning that he is Secretary to the said temple and also seeks permission for celebrating festival on the same day and hence the representations submitted by the petitioner as well as the said Ponnusamy are kept pending.
6. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent police is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 07.05.2018 and also the representation submitted by the opposite party, Mr.Ponnusamy and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on or before 17.05.2018 at 10.A.M and intimate the same to both the parties. With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
