Mr.Akhil Akbar Ali, For R1 Mr.T.K.Saravanan, AGP for R2 & 3 COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed to direct the respondents either to reconvey the respective subject lands or in alternative to grant compensation as per the Right to Fair compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in these cases, the petitioners had purchased their subject lands vide respective sale deeds. The said lands were acquired by the respondents without following any due process of law. Hence, the representations dated 01.04.2024 were made before the respondents. However, till date, no steps were taken by the respondents either

to re-convey the subject land or to pay the compensation to the petitioner. Hence, this petition.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's request will be considered and the amount will be paid by the respondent within a period of 12 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record.

6. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondents to consider the undated letters (received on 01.04.2024) of the petitioners, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
