Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents issue Family Car/Ration Card to the petitioner with immediate effect in view of the application.

ORDER

Heard Mr.J.Ashok, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader accepting notice for the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition itself is disposed of at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for a direction to the respondents authorities to issue Ration Card/Family Card to the petitioner.

3.According to the petitioner, he has been residing with his wife after his marriage in Kovalam at Kancheepuram District and he has applied for a Family Card. Though the application was submitted in November 2011 and till date, the application has not been considered and the Family Card has not been issued. It is stated that the petitioner's name was deleted from the petitioner's father's Family Card and a Certificate dated 02.11.2011 was issued to that effect. Similarly, the name of the petitioner's wife was deleted from her father's Family Card and a Certificate dated 13.08.2010 was also issued to that effect.

4.In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.03.2015, conduct an enquiry in the matter and ascertain the facts and if there is no legal impediment, then the 2nd respondent shall pass appropriate orders so as to enable the petitioner to obtain the Family Card within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
