ORDER

The petitioner seeks for the following relief: "Call for the records pertaining to the proceedings of the 3rd respondent patta Transfer vide can No 133021230595344 and Application no 2025/ 0103 / 35 / 424577 dated 27.03.2025 and to quash the same as illegal, incompetent and ultra vires and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to consider petitioner claim for subdivision and issue separate patta in petitioner name in S.No.4/2 extent of 38 cents, S.No 4/4 extent 09 cents, S.No.4/5 extent of 18 cents, S.No.4/7 extent of 19 cents, S.No.4/8 extent of 1.0 acre and S.No.5/2 extent of 45 cents total extent of 2.29 acres situated at Theetalam Village, Madurandhagam Taluk, Chengalpattu Distrct vide sale deed bearing Doc. no 3199 / 2007 before the sub registrar of Uthiramerur."

2. It is the claim of the petitioner that he had applied for Patta on 17.03.2025 and the same came to be rejected on 22.05.2025 without any enquiry.

3. On the mere ground of violation of principles of natural justice, the impugned order dated 07.03.2025 is quashed.

4. The respondents shall issue notice to the petitioner and call upon him to produce the documents to substantiate his claim. After conducting an enquiry, the respondents shall pass afresh orders in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above, the Writ Petition is allowed, and the proceeding is restored on the file of the third respondent for fresh consideration. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. 23-05-2025 Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes klt
