PRAYER : Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st to 6th respondents to Constitute a multi-membered Enquiry Committee to conduct an in-depth investigation into the affairs of the 7th Respondent (Madras Race Club) and more importantly probe into the allegation such as illegal betting, Horse fixing, Jockey fixing, Horse Drugging, Conflict of Interest of office bearers whose horses participate in races conducted by MRC, illegality in conduct of elections, diversion of funds and submit a report to the State Government for initiation of Appropriate action, within a specified time-frame as may be fixed by this Honourable Court and consequently direct 1st to 6th respondents to take appropriate legal measures to bring in legislative control for conduct of horse race by the 7th respondent club similar to legislations in force in other states through which the game of horse races can be licensed, regulated and monitored in the State of Tamil Nadu.
