Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to sanction the two stage Advance Increments with effect from the date of appointment as Assistant Professor i.e., 20.06.2013 as per the 'UGC' order for M.phil Degree enrolled in the year 2007 and for payment of pending arrears from the date of appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of English as requested vide petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2018.

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct the 2nd respondent to sanction the two stage Advance Increments with effect from the date of appointment as Assistant Professor i.e., 20.06.2013 as per the 'UGC' order for M.phil Degree enrolled in the year 2007 and for payment of pending arrears from the date of appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of English as requested vide petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2018.
2. The Writ Petition has been filed for availing two stage increments to the petitioner with effect from the date of appointment as Assistant Professor i.e.,20.06.2013 as per the UGC order for M.Phil degree enrolled in the year 2007 and for payment of pending arrears from the date of her appointment as Assistant Professor. On 16.07.2018, the petitioner made a representation to the Principal, D.K.M College for Women (Autonomous), Vellore, with copy submitted to the 2nd respondent requesting to include two advance increments along with her salary. However, till date the said representation was not considered. Hence the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner, in accordance with law.
4. Mr.V.Kadhirvelu, learned Special Government Pleader conceded the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation, if not disposed of already within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall send a copy of the representation along with the order copy to the respondents to enable them to pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law.
4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
