ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent police to give police protection to the petitioners herein based upon their compliant dated 25.11.2013 to cut Velikathan trees and to cultivate the lands situate in S.No.636/3 to an extent of 2.015 Acres in Banavaram Village, Arakkonam Taluk, Vellore District, the petitioners have come up with this petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.

3. From a perusal of the materials available on record, it appears that the petitioners got two decrees in their favour, one by the trial court in O.S.No.145 of 20076 and the appellate court in A.S.No.128 of 2014.

4. Under such circumstances, the respondent police is directed to look into the complaint in CSR No.249 of 2013 and take action in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

accordance with law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)] and maintain law and order in the concerned place.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
