Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2025 regarding the granting of permission/certificate for vending at the petitioner's bunk shop located at Covai Pazhamudhir Nilayam Left Side, 7th Avenue, Annai Velankanni Road, Besant Nagar, Chennai. The bunk shop sells juice, tea, coffee and food items using an LPG gas stove. Further, it is requested that the respondents refrain from disturbing the operation of the petitioner's shop until a decision is made. 1/4

ORDER

(Made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN., J.) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

2. The petitioner has approached the second respondent seeking permission to run the petition mentioned bunk shop.

3. The second respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2025 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till the petitioner's representation is disposed of, no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner. 2/4

4.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
