The petitioner is presently working as Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes. The next avenue of promotion is to the post of Deputy Commissioner. The name of the petitioner was not considered earlier for promotion on account of disciplinary proceedings pending against him. According to the petitioner, the punishment imposed on him expired by efflux of time. The petitioner submitted a representation on 16.03.2015 requesting the first respondent to include his name in the panel for promotion to the post of Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes. The present request is to direct the respondents to consider and dispose of the said representation.

2. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16.03.2015, on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
