O R D E R

Heard Mr.P.Rajkumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Suriya Narayanan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

2.Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to give the information with penalty under the Right to Information Act 2005. 3.Petitioner has made a request under the provisions of Right to Information Act 2005 before the respondent on 09.12.2013. The said application was acknowledged by the respondent on 11.12.2013 and the respondent did not furnish the information. The petitioner is said to have filed an first appeal, but the first appeal was not considered and no orders were passed. Therefore, the petitioner approached the Tamil Nadu Information Commission by filing application on 18.03.2014. The Tamil Nadu Information Commission by an order dated 23.09.2014 directed the respondent to furnish information on or before 23.10.2014 and also to intimate the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Commission about the furnishing of the information. According to the petitioner, till date the information has not been furnished, though the petitioner submitted another representation on 14.10.2014. 4.In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the respondent to furnish information to the petitioner forthwith and report the same to the Tamil Nadu Information Commission, if the information has not already been furnished. In the event the respondent has not furnished the information within the time permitted by the Tamil Nadu Information Commission, it is open to the petitioner to move the Commission for necessary relief as against the Public Information Officer for failure of furnishing information within the time permitted.

5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
