O R D E R
(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioners, who apprehend arrest for the alleged offences under Section 4(1)(g) and 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.1224 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners were found in possession of 6 liters of ID arrack for illegal sale. Hence, the complaint.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are innocent and they are in no way connected with the alleged offence. He would further submit that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in this case. 4.It is stated by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police that the petitioners were found in possession of 6 liters of ID arrack and there are 3 previous cases pending against the petitioners. However, he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 5.Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
