ORDER

Heard M/s.Karan and Udhay, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader accepting notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and with their consent, the writ petition itself is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 19.08.2014 seeking for grant of patta.

3.The petitioner is said to have purchased the property in question pursuant to a Sale Agreement dated 19.03.1985 and claims to be in possession of the property for several decades and to prove his possession, the petitioner is said to have produced Ration Card, Voter ID and Electricity Card and also claims to have paid Kisth. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Admittedly, there is document to show that the land in question is a private property. Furthermore, the petitioner is said to have produced the same pursuant to the Sale Agreement which is also unregistered. Hence, the relief sought for cannot be granted and no positive direction can be issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation seeking for grant of patta. 4.Accordingly, while declining to grant the relief sought for by the petitioner, the petitioner is permitted to pursue his representation before the 2nd respondent which shall be considered in accordance with law.

5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above observation. No costs.
