Heard Mr. D.Panchatsaram, learned counsel for the petitioner ; Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate accepting notice for the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2014 by issuing patta in the name of the petitioner. 3.The petitioner purchased the properties in question measuring a total extent of 15166 sq.ft. from one Jayalakshmi and others through their Power Agent C.S.Mahalingam under a registered Sale Deed dated 11.03.2010 registered as Document No.2425/2010, on the file of the Sub Registrar, Avadi. Since the purchase of the properties, the petitioner is in the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the same. The petitioner's vendors assured that the said properties in question are patta lands and when the petitioner approached the 2nd respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

to issue patta in his name and produced all the relevant documents. In spite of the same, the 2nd respondent has not initiated any action. The petitioner submitted a representation on 12.12.2014 stating the facts and though the said representation was received by the 2nd respondent, till date the same has not been disposed of. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the contentions raised by the petitioner, there will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2014 seeking for grant of patta, issue notice to the petitioner, hear the petitioner in person and thereafter, pass a reasoned order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
