Petition filed under section 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.03.2015 and the change the date of birth of the petitioner daughter namely P.N.Logamari as 28.08.2002 as per the Date of Birth Certificate issued by the Government of Tamilnadu instead of 09.07.2002. Heard Mr.M.Raja Sekhar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. With the consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission

stage itself.

2.Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.03.2015 and the change the date of birth of the petitioner daughter namely P.N.Logamari as 28.08.2002 as per the Date of Birth Certificate issued by the Government of Tamilnadu instead of 09.07.2002. 3.Petitioner has filed this writ petition for correction of the Date of Birth of the petitioner's daughter Logamari. Petitioner would state that his daughter was born on 28.08.2002 in Ramanujam Hospital at Ambasamuthiram and the birth was registered on 09.09.2002 vide Registration No.2545 of 2002 and a Birth Certificate has been issued by the Birth and Death Registrar, Ambasamudram Selection Grade Town Panchayat dated 21.11.2002.

However, at the time, when the petitioner's daughter was admitted in the school, the Date of Birth was wrongly given as 09.07.2002. It appears that the petitioner who is the father of the child was initially known as Mariappan and subsequently his name has been changed as Nadaraj and the same is also published in the Government Gazette dated 04.07.2007. 4.With these facts, the petitioner now requests for effecting change of Date of Birth in the school records. Since, the petitioner's daughter is studying in VIII standard, the second respondent can consider the Birth Certificate and effect necessary changes in the school records. Hence, the second respondent is directed to take note of the petitioner's representation and the Birth Certificate dated 21.11.

2002 and to effect necessary changes in the petitioner's daughter's Date of Birth in the school records and also give due intimation in this regard to the first respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
