ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested on 12.08.2021 and remanded to judicial custody for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420 r/w 120(B) of IPC and Sec 5 of TNPID Act, in Cr.No.22 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused persons had collected a sum of Rs.45,200/- from the defacto complainant and cheated him. After enquiry reveals that the petitioner along with first accused company had collected a sum of Rs.1,84,98,800/- from the general public and cheated them. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is no way connected with the alleged offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case and the petitioner has been in jail from 12.08.2021. He further submitted that the petitioner is the employee of the first accused company. Therefore, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submits that apart from this 7 named accused and 15 unnamed accused involved in this case. He further submitted that so far 212 depositors including the defacto complainant have lodged their complaints before the respondent police. He further submitted that the petitioner along with other accused persons had cheated the defacto complainant and other depositors to the tune of Rs.1,84,98,800/-. He further submitted that the investigation is at initial stage. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the petitioner has involved in serious offence and the investigation is at initial stage, further amount involved in this is huge, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
