O R D E R

The petitioner is the widow of Thiru Kamalakannan, who worked as Headmaster of Panchayat Union Middle School, Thengal in the District of Vellore. The husband of the petitioner died on 22.11.2004 while in service. The petitioner submitted series of representations to the second and third respondents to pay her statutory benefits consequent to the death of her husband. In fact, the first respondent directed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the second respondent to take appropriate action to pass orders on her representation vide proceedings dated 16.11.2011. It is the grievance of the petitioner that follow up action was not taken by any of the respondents. The petitioner is therefore before this Court.

2. The third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 19.02.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 19.02.2014 along with a copy of this order to the third respondent so as to enable the said authority to dispose of the matter within the aforesaid time.

4. It is needless to point out that interest also should be paid to the petitioner on account of delay in disbursement of statutory benefits.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
