..Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant a patta in respect of the land measuring an extent of 5 Acres out of the total extent of 15.88 Acres comprised in Survey Number 41/3A2 of Orathoor Village, Sriperumpudhur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, by passing an order on the representation dated 02.01.2015 filed by the petitioner.

Heard Mr.S.Adithya Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for a direction to the respondents herein to grant patta in respect of the land measuring an extent of 5 Acres out of the total extent of 15.88 Acres comprised in Survey Number 41/3A2 of Orathoor Village, Sriperumpudhur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, by passing an order on the representation dated 02.01.2015 filed by the petitioner. 3.The petitioner's mother Tmt. Jayalakshmi Ammal, W/o.Subramani Naicker, was granted patta in respect of the lands in question comprised in S.No. 41/3A2, Orathoor villaage, Sirperumbudur Taluk, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Kancheepuram District, bearing Patta NO.1000. The petitioner's mother is no more and she has passed away on 06.03.2010. Therefore, now the petitioner seeks for transfer of patta in favour of the petitioner and his sister, who are said to be the only legal heirs of the petitioner's deceased mother Tmt.Jayalakshmi Ammal. 4.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the contentions raised by the petitioner, there will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2015, conduct an enquiry into the matter, ascertain as to the exact number of legal heirs of the petitioner's deceased mother and thereafter, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
