The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to dispose of his representation dated 31.03.2012. 2.

The petitioner claims to have purchased the land to an extent of 58 cents in Nanjai Survey No.20/1, Kadambur Village, Chengalpet Taluk, Kancheepuram District, by virtue of a sale deed dated 29.06.1995, registered as document No.1418 of 1995 in the Sub Registrar Office, Chengalpet Taluk. The petitioner also claims to be in possession and occupation of the property from the date of his purchase. As he desired to obtain a patta in his favour, he applied for the same on 16.09.2009 for transfer of patta in his name. But much to his surprise, it is stated that the property was classified as "Anadheenam", which according to the petitioner is that only a mistake, especially when the property has been owned by him for long time. the petitioner gave a representation on 04.07.2011 to the District Collector to issue patta in his name, but, no action was taken on the said representation. Hence, the petitioner gave another representation dated 31.03.2012 to the Revenue Authorities, who are the respondents herein, to consider his representation and issue patta in his name by removing the classification of the land as "Anadeenam". The said representation was received by the respondents on 02.04.2012 but the same has not been considered yet. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for the above said relief. 3.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate and perused the materials available on record.

As all the revenue authorities are shown as respondents, there will be a direction to them to consider the representation dated 31.03.2012 given by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording him sufficient opportunity to produce oral and documentary evidence in support of his claim and dispose of the same within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
