The petitioner/A2, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 120(B), 468 and 506(i) of I.P.C, in Crime No.218 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 16.07.2023 at about 10.00 A.M, the de-facto complainant and his office members visit near the Amman hydraulics Mechanic Centre. That time the de-facto complainant saw the vehicles bearing registration numbers are illegally changed. On enquiry about the said crime to the labourers, the petitioner/2nd accused herein has left the vehicle and told to change it and the de-facto complainant has called the petitioner about the said event for which the petitioner has threatened the de-facto complainant with dire consequences. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person. He has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant to anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that out of 7 vehicles, there are 3 vehicles are seized. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

Crl.O.P.No.15711 of 2024 RMT.TEEKAA RAMAN,J., nvi 5.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) for the respondent police and perused the materials available on record.

6.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and the nature and gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner and no change of circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 7.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 10.07.2024 nvi Crl.O.P.No.15711 of 2024 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 2/2
