ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 4(1)(C) and 4(1-A) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2024 in Crime No.320 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of seven Men Club Brandy Bottles each containing 180 ml without any valid permission. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of seven Men Club Brandy Bottles each containing 180 ml without any valid permission. He would further submit that there is 31 previous cases are pending against the petitioner. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. I have given anxious consideration to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and taking note of the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that 31 previous cases are pending against the petitioner, it is clear that the petitioner

has misused the liberty granted by this Court. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
