The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying for a issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records from the file of the respondent dated 22.03.2015 and quash the same and further direct the respondent to give permission to the petitioner to hold the cultural and entertainment programme as permissible under law during the festival of Arulmigu Sri https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. According to the petitioner, the request made by him for grant of permission to conduct cultural and entertainment programme on the eve of the temple festival was rejected by an impugned order. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the rejection of the police authorities on the ground that law and order situation in a particular area cannot be controlled, therefore, the permission cannot be granted. There is no law and order problem warranting passing of such an impugned order.

In my view, the police authorities are the best persons to regulate law and order situation in a particular area and this Court cannot issue a Writ of Mandamus to compel the police authorities to grant permission to conduct cultural dance programme on the eve of temple festival, therefore, the prayer sought for, by the petitioner cannot be granted. However, this will not prevent the petitioner from approaching the higher police officials, if he is so advised. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
