Respondent Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to admit the petitioner as an Advocate in the rolls of the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry based on the application submitted by him on 13.11.2014.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by V.RAMASUBRAMANIAN, J.) The petitioner, whose application for enrollment was withheld by the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on the ground that he was implicated in a criminal case, has come up with the above writ petition seeking a mandamus.
2. Heard Mr.I.Paul Noble Devakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Y.Masood, learned counsel for the respondent.
3. The petitioner was implicated in a case in C.C.No.122 of 2012 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, No.II, Puducherry. On account of the pendency of the criminal case, his application for enrollment submitted on 13.11.2014 was kept pending by the Bar Council.

4. Now, admittedly, the Court has acquitted the petitioner by judgment dated 30.12.2014. Therefore, the only impediment for the enrollment of the petitioner stands removed.
5. In view of the above, the writ petition is allowed directing the respondent to process the application of the petitioner in accordance with the other procedures, in view of the acquittal of the petitioner in the criminal complaint and take action before the next date of enrollment. No costs.
