Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta to the petitioner by entering the name of the petitioner in the revenue records in respect of S.No.112/3 Ac.2.69 in Vailamur Village, Bhuvanagiri Taluk, Cuddalore District.

ORDER

The petitioner has sought assignment of property in Sy.No.112/1 Ac.11.81 of Vailamur Village, Bhuvanagiri Taluk, Cuddalore District. 2.Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader entered appearance for the respondents and he has circulated a proceedings of the Sub Collector, Chidambaram District/second respondent dated 11.01.2021 rejecting the petitioner's request for an assignment on the ground that the property concerned is a water body. 3.The said statement is recorded.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be granted permission to move the concerned Authority for assignment of land in some other area.

5.So far as this request is concerned, it entirely rest with the petitioner and it does not require any permission from this Court. 2/4

6.So far as the present Writ Petition is concerned, in view of the proceedings of the second respondent dated 11.01.2021, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter and the same is closed.
