Common Prayer: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the Disqualification Slip dated 10.08.2021 issued to the Petitioner Enrolment No: 5802057, 5801402, 5801359, 5800105, 6000584, 5802217, 6001065, 5802536, and 5802052 by the 2nd Respondent and quash the same and further directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for appointment of Common Recruitment for the posts of Gr.II-PCS, Gr.II-JWS and Fireman 2020.

COMMON ORDER By this common order, all these writ petitions have been disposed of.
2. The petitioners had participated in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) along with 250 candidates on 10.08.2021. It is the case of the petitioner that the said Physical Endurance Test was to be originally conducted in Armed Reserve Police Ground, Nethaji Stadium,Near District Fire Office, Vellore-632 001. However, due to heavy rainfall on 09.08.2021 and stagnation of water in the aforesaid ground, the venue was transferred to Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) ground at Katpadi. It is submitted that the tracks were not laid properly, which laid to the petitioner's disqualification.
3. In light of the same, the petitioners has filed the photographs to demarcate that the tracks were not properly laid and therefore, the petitioner's have been wrongly denied the opportunity of the selection.
4.The learned counsel for the respondents has filed the following written statement which reads as under: "5.It is submitted that the video recording of the 200 metres running event conducted at the said ground was perused and it was found that the lanes were properly demarcated and clearly visible, enabling the candidates to run in their respective track without crossing lanes. In case, the lanes were not visible, there would have been track changes by the candidates and the petitioners herein. All the 9 petitioners herein were disqualified from the said even as they had failed to complete the event within the stipulated time. None of the petitioners had crossed lanes but had completed the event in their respective tracks as against their allegation in the grounds of their writ petition. This precisely shows that the lanes were properly laid."
5.Considering the fact that 215 candidates who had participated in Physical Efficiency Test and about 121 candidates got qualified and 94 got disqualified, the relief claimed by the petitioner cannot be entertained. All the 215 candidates were subject to the same test and therefore the petitioner cannot claim any special right due to the change in the venue.
6. These Writ petitions stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CS-V) // True Copy // Sub Assistant Registrar drl/mka
